<p>• Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection standards</p>
<p>• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef</p>

<p><strong>Role Overview:</strong></p>
<p>As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of systems and networks. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, performing system upgrades, and providing security and reliability.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level systems and network infrastructure</li>
<li>Administer and troubleshoot both Windows and Linux servers, as well as networking equipment and cloud services</li>
<li>Ensure system uptime, performance, security, and reliability</li>
<li>Lead system upgrades, migrations, and patch management</li>
<li>Proactively monitor and resolve system issues to minimise downtime</li>
<li>Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD processes and system integration</li>
<li>Manage and optimise backup solutions and disaster recovery strategies</li>
<li>Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting methods</li>
<li>Mentor junior administrators and provide technical leadership</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key Skills &amp; Experience:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Extensive experience in a Senior Systems Administrator or similar role, ideally in large-scale environments</li>
<li>Strong expertise in administering Windows and Linux server environments</li>
<li>Proficiency in network administration and working with firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar</li>
<li>Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and infrastructure-as-code tools</li>
<li>Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection standards</li>
<li>Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef</li>
<li>Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)</li>
<li>Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Zabbix)</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or AWS Certified Solutions Architect</li>
<li>Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)</li>
<li>Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices</li>
</ul>
