As they expand, they are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our infrastructure and systems projects. 

Role Overview:
Our partners seek experienced Senior Systems Engineers with a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems. You will ensure critical IT systems’ stability, security, and performance, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructures. As a senior team member, you will also mentor junior engineers and collaborate with other departments to achieve business goals. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, implement, and maintain high-availability, secure, and scalable systems infrastructure. 
• Manage and optimize on-premises and cloud-based systems and services. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues in a timely and efficient manner. 
• Lead system upgrades, migrations, and patch management processes. 
• Ensure systems meet security and compliance standards, applying best practices for system hardening and vulnerability management. 
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system solutions that meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain automated scripts and tools for system management and monitoring. 
• Provide expert-level technical support and guidance for system-related issues. 
• Mentor and train junior team members to improve technical skills and knowledge. 
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing. 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

• Extensive experience with systems administration across various platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS, etc.). 
• Strong experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.). 
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure management (AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar). 
• In-depth knowledge of networking principles, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPNs. 
• Proficiency with configuration management and automation.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions. 
• Strong understanding of storage systems (SAN, NAS, iSCSI, etc.). 
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 
• Relevant certifications include MCSE, RHCE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. 
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. 

Desirable Skills: 

• Experience with network security and firewall configurations.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Experience with ITIL or similar frameworks for service management.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
